The Department of State Services (DSS) on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 stated that it was taking appropriate action over the threat meted out by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu to Igbo residents in the state.
Speaking to newsmen at the National Information Centre in Abuja, the DSS Spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar said the Service is taking steps over the matter, although she refused to part with the details.
She said: “We are taking appropriate action. Yesterday, the service had once again warned all Nigerians not to stoke the embers of discord within the country.
“If the presidential election had come and gone successfully, we wouldn’t want people to begin to whip up sentiments unnecessarily. So we are handling it.”
