The director of a day care center, Kimberly Marie Reid, has been arrested after she attacked a little boy while he was asleep.
Reid, who works at the Children’s Palace Learning Center in Clermont, Florida, was charged with two counts of child abuse after the disturbing video went viral.
A concerned colleague secretly recorded Reid swinging stuffed animals at the sleeping four-year-old before she lifted him off the floor by his arms and legs and then threw him on the floor.
In an incident report filed by a Child Protective Services investigator, the naptime attacks had been occurring for at least three weeks.
According to Mirror UK, Reid said the video is “not what it appears to be,’ adding that she was only playing rough with the little boy and doing nothing wrong.
The nursery has since shut down while Reid is set to appear before the court on Monday, February 22, 2016.
