A nurse at the Foreleza hospital that Brazilian striker Neymar was rushed to after suffering a back injury during Brazil’s 2-1 win over Colombia has been fired for filming his arrival and then sharing it on the internet.
The video of the Brazilian star strapped to a gurney and being rushed down a corridor by medical personnel was quickly uploaded and spread across social networks before it was known that Neymar would miss the rest of the World Cup with a fractured vertebra.
The nurse was busted because she filmed herself at the end of the video in great excitement.
She said “woo-hoo!” and gave a happy pose.
According to Globo, a hospital administrator confirmed that the nurse had been dismissed for violating a patient’s privacy.
