A 27-year-old government official has been arrested, charged and convicted of child prostitution for allegedly having sex with teen girls in hotel rooms and even recording the bouts.
The presiding judge, Joshi Igarash, of the Nara District Court in Japan on Thursday, June 8, 2015 gave the suspect, Akihiro Yoshitake, a suspended sentence for participating in sexual acts with minors.
Igarash said, “In a malicious crime, the corresponding criminal liability is heavy.”
The defendant who was a former city council member of Katsuragi, was found guilty of violating the laws of child prostitution and pornography and was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for four years.
This was not the first time that Yoshitake had been convicted of child prostitution.
Investigation by the police revealed that Yoshitake used a smartphone to record a sex session with a girl who is under the age of 18 in a hotel room in the Kobe metropolis of the country.
It was further learnt that he went ahead to use the video for a pornographic movie which he eventually uploaded to the internet.
According to World Wide Weird News, he received another suspended sentence by the same court for the production of four pornographic movies, showing him having sex with a girl under the age of 18 at his home.
It was gathered that the defendant committed the crime in order to pay off debts accumulated from the purchase of a luxury car and the opening of a night school.
