The Awards is a brainchild of Multichoice (DStv and Africa Magic people) set to honor outsanding achievements by Nollywood actors and actresses.
In his opening remarks, the Managing Director, Multichoice Nigeria, Mr. John Ugbe, said: “The third edition of the AMVCAs is just around the corner. As we celebrate the nominees today, we also acknowledge the impact that the awards have had on African film and television production.
MultiChoice continues to celebrate African talent, and the continued success of the AMVCAs further showcases our commitment to recognising the amazing skills that exist in the ever growing African entertainment industry.”
Also expressing his excitement for being part of the AMVCAs, the Corporate Media and Brand PR Manager, Nigerian Breweries, Mr. Edem Vindah said: “Nigerian Breweries is excited to once again partner with Africa Magic in celebrating the best of African entertainment content.

Wishing the nominees the best of luck , the Regional Director, M-Net (West) Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, said: “In just a short time, the AMVCAs have become the continental celebration of film and TV talent across the continent and the acceptance and appreciation of the awards show the amazing transformations taking place in the African film and TV industry.
Other celebrities spotted at the event include Linda Ejiofor, Toke Makinwa, Vimbia Mutinhiri, IK Osakiduwa, Blossom Chukwujekwu, AY Makun, Lydia Forson, Deyemi Okanlawon, Joselyn Dumas amongst others.
The cocktail was being hosted by IK Osakiduwa.
The AMVCAs awards will hold on Saturday, March 7 2015 at Eko Hotel Convention Centre.
