An Ikeja Special Offences Court, Thursday, July 14, 2022 sentenced the embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, to five years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo held that the prosecution had successfully proven the charge of sexual assault of a minor and indecent treatment of a minor against the convict.
In a two-hour judgement, Justice Taiwo on convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault and attempted sexual assault
However, Taiwo discharged and acquitted him of counts one and six: sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration.
At the time of filing this report, the case has been stood down for a few minutes for the sentencing of the convict.
