The Federal Government has reiterated its stance that there are no plans in motion to fire the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega.
Reacting to claims by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), the Minister of Culture and Tourism who doubles as the supervising Minister of Information, Edem Duke restated the stance of President Goodluck Jonathan at the recently held presidential media chat that there are no plans to sack Jega.
Duke said the Jega would leave office as stipulated by service rules as is natural for anyone who reaches his terminal date.
