Staff of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, have suspended their industrial action just after one day.
The commission embarked on a strike on Thursday, January 7, 2021, over the fear of COVID-19 spread in the agency due to the ongoing NIN registration.
The staff suspended the strike after a meeting with the Federal Government, where it was agreed that the demands of the employees would be addressed.
Asekokhai Lucky, the President Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, NIMC Unit, confirmed the suspension of the strike on Friday, January 8, 2021.
