The newly elected Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara on Sunday, June 14, 2015 went for a thanksgiving at Goshen City Living Faith Church, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
Dogara was declared the new speaker of the 8th National Assembly on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 after an election was conducted.
The development aggrieved most power blocs from the All Progressive Congress, APC, who were against his candidacy as well of that of the new senate president, Senator Bukola Saraki.
However, against the odds, Dogara decided to give thanks to God for allowing his will prevail by making him win the seat despite the efforts made against him by the party.
