Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Hits 50,488 As 593 Test Positive In 24Hours

593 new cases of COVID-19 has been recorded in Nigeria on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has said.

A breakdown of the new cases across different states in the country is as follows; Plateau-186, Lagos-172, FCT-62, Oyo-27, Delta-25, Rivers-20, Ondo-19, Edo-18, Kaduna-17, Enugu-12, Akwa Ibom-10, Ogun-7, Abia-6, Gombe-6, Kano-3, and Osun-3.

The 593 new cases of COVID-19 now brings the total number of confirmed cases to 50,488. 985 deaths has been recorded while 37,304 patients have recovered from the virus.
