The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should quit taking Nigerians for granted and start fulfilling campaign promises made in the build up to the 2015 presidential election.
Speaking to Punch, the PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Abdullahi Jalo, said the ruling party should begin to provide leadership for expectant Nigerians instead of making unsubstantiated claims.
Reacting to statements by APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed that President Muhammadu Buhari had restored the Nigerian dream in six weeks, Jalo said he is yet to understand what the statement meant.
He said: “Nigerians are still expecting the change the APC promised. It is not a time to make excuses, Nigerians want results.
“Where is the N5, 000 Naira they promised unemployed graduates and our old people? They said our government left an empty treasury. Where did the money for the bailout of states come from?”
