Nigerian soccer fans who were hoping to see Victor Obinna Nsofor make a return to the Super Eagles squad would have to wait longer.
The 28-year-old forward has moved to a club in the second tier of the Bundesliga, MSV Duisburg on a free transfer.
By the standards of current Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh only outfield players who play in the first divisions of the countries they find themselves will feature for the national team with the exception of youth players and obviously, goalkeepers.
Nsofor joined MSV Duisburg on a one-year deal after passing his medicals and receiving the international Transfer Certificate by the Russian Football Union.
Shortly after joining the German club, the player said:
”I look forward to the new task here, the club, the fans and my teammates. I’ll do my best and hopefully play as soon as possible to help the team.”
The Nigerian who previously played for Inter Milan, Chievo, West Ham, Malaga and most recently Lokomotiv Moscow
