The Nigerian Army has arrested four fleeing Boko Haram terrorists, including a father and son at Kurnari village and Nayinawa in Yobe.

Sani Usman, the Nigerian Army spokesperson, in an e-mailed statement to The Trent on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 said the arrested terrorists are Bukar Waziri, 25; Mammade Lawan, 20; and father and son, Muhammadu Damina, 40; and Isah Muhammadu, 15.

Brigadier General Usman said that the suspects were arrested on Monday after they fled their hideout at Talala and Buk in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno.

“During preliminary investigation, they claimed that they were fleeing from the terrorists’ hideout at Talala and Buk in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State because of the unbearable military onslaughts and bombardments on their various locations,” the army spokesman said.

Buhari Defeats Boko Haram?

Late December 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari declared victory over the Islamist terrorist group after Nigerian troops announced that they have recaptured Camp Zero in Sambisa forest, the base of the deadliest terrorist group in the world.

The Nigerian Army later presented the president with the flag belonging to the terrorist group in a “mission accomplished” ceremony.

Since the declaration a week ahead of Christmas Day 2016, Boko Haram has launched a number of deadly attacks in the North Eastern region of the country where the terrorists have murdered at least 50,000 since they began their campaign to establish an Islamic caliphate in the country.
