With the continued ‘siege’ on the Niger State House of Assembly since Tuesday, May 5, 2015, the Clerk, management and administrative staff of the House have resorted to ‘working’ under a tree in front of an unnamed hotel in front of the assembly complex, The Scoop reports.
According to reports, about 200 armed policemen, agents of Department of State Security and civil defence on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 occupied the complex, locking out legislators and staff out of their offices.
Defending their actions, the security agents said they were at the complex to protect lives and property, denying reports that they have barred anyone from entering the complex.
