Must read

Niger State Government has vowed to prosecute those caught in the act of damaging work on ongoing road constructions in the state.

Baba Ndaman, the state chairman Central Coordinating Committee on Safety and Security of Minna Bida road, stated this in Minna, said his committee has commenced its assignment on the road.

He explained that punishing those arrested would serve as a deterrent to others.

Ndaman also stated that his committee has fully mounted surveillance to apprehend those who violate the road barricade regulations on the Minna-Bida road in the state.

According to him, the committee is linking up with vigilante and conventional security personnel to enhance the security network of the highway.

He further disclosed that the barriers that were recently erected by a private company handling work on the road on the orders of Niger State Government were pulled out by hoodlums at Umar Sanda Memorial Hospital in Bida.

The chairman added, “We want to again renew the commitment of the State Government to the barricade of Minna Bida road to curtail movement of articulated vehicles. We are advising Nigerlites to comply with the directive.”
