Referee and Assistant Referee, John Charles and Ogunta Matador, respectively, have been penalized by the Referees Committee of Nigerian Football Federation with a suspension for poor performance in a Glo Premier League Week 4 match on Sunday, April 19, 2015.
Both were on duty when Sunshine Stars of Akure hosted Dolphins of Port Harcourt on Sunday, April 19, 2015. The Sunshine stars won the game with a 2-1 margin.
Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh said the two officials were suspended for “gross misconduct and performance below the required standard.”
