NAN – Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Rabi’u Bichi as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the governor and issued in Kano on Friday, May 29, 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bichi is the immediate past SSG, who was in the state’s Executive Council dissolved on Thursday, May 28, 2015 by the former governor, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The governor’s statement also announced the appointment of Alhaji Usman Muhammad as his Principal Private Secretary and Alhaji Muhammad Na’iya as Head of Service.
According to the statement, former Director of Press to Kwankwaso, Halilu Dantiye has been appointed Director- General, Media and Communication, to the governor.
It said that others media aides appointed were Alhaji Aminu Yassar as Press Secretary and Alhaji Bala Salihu as Special Adviser, Print Media.
The governor, who congratulated the new appointees, urged them to be dedicated and be ready to serve the state selflessly.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
