NAN – The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) said it trained 150 youths on human capital development in Kano State.

Alhaji Bello Ibrahim, Head, Product and Market Development Department of the council, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kano.

He said the training was conducted in collaboration with the state government and ADHAMA Textile and Garment Company.

“At the end of the training, each of the participants was given a generator set, motorcycle, sewing machine and a token fee as start-off capital for their businesses,” he said.

According to him, NEPC basically promotes export by helping marketers to export their products.

“If you want to export your product, you must register with NEPC and the registration is in stages.

‘’First, collect the form after paying N1,000 and processing fee of N11,000 with the company’s certificate and memorandum of understanding along with the particulars of the producer.”

He called on other organisations such as National Association of Small Scale Industrialits and Kaduna Chamber of Commerce to access the services, to enable them to promote their businesses.
