NCAA Gets 5 New Directors, One General Manager

The Federal Government on Monday, February 27, 2017 appointed  five new directors and one general manager for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.

Nine directors of the agency was fired by Acting President Osinbajo, last week.

The move was described by officials of the Federal Ministry of Transportation described as a further reorganisation of the aviation sector to enhance efficiency.

NCAA made the announcement in a statement by its general manager, public affairs, Sam Adurogboye, in Lagos.

Adurogboye explained that the appointment was with immediate effect.

He said that those appointed were Capt. Edem Oyo-Ita as director of Air Transport Regulations, Mr. Abbas Sanusi; director, Human Resources and Administration, Adamu Sani; director of Finance and Accounts.

“Others are: Odunowo Tayyib Adetunji, director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, Mr. Ita Awak, director of Airworthiness Standards, Lawrence Kwajok, general manager, Air Navigational Standards,” he said.

Those affected in the sack were the director of Finance and Accounts, Alhaji Salawu Ozigi; director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, Dr. Joyce Nkemakolam; director of Administration, Mr. Aba Ejembi; and director of Licensing, Mr. Emmanuel Ogunbami.

Others were director of Airworthiness, Mr. Benedict Adeyileka; director of Air Transport Regulation, Mr. Justus Wariya; director of Consumer Protection, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi; director of General Aviation, Capt. Ayodele Sasegbon; and director of Human Resources, Mr. Austin-Amadi Ifeanyi.
