A video has surfaced online, showing the level of commitment former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi gave to he citizens of the oil-rich state in his 8 years as governor.
The video, which was put together by an anonymous concerned citizen who gave his name as “Common Man, claims that between 2007 and 2013, Amaechi received the monthly sum of N14 billion, which is about almost N900 billion over the course of 6 years.
The expository documentary also showed the state of social amenities left behind by Amaechi, especially as regards roads.
The narrator, who is evidently unhappy about the state of things, takes a tour to several part of the capital, Port Harcourt.
Some of the major roads cited in the video are the Akpajos Town road in Eleme Local Government Area; the East West Road, which Amaechi promised not to repair because according to him, it is a Federal Road and the Federal Government owes him N150 billion.
Another sour highlight of the video was the Trans-Amadi industrial layout, an industrial hub where much of the state’s internally generate revenue is gotten from.
