A final year student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, whose name was simply given as Stanley decided to trek from Nsukka to Enugu in order to congratulate newly sworn in Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was on Thursday, June 4, 2015 turned back at the Enugu State Government House by security agents.
Stanley reportedly left Nsukka by 7 am on Monday, June 1, 2015 to felicitate with Governor Ugwuanyi, the first Nsukka man to be elected as governor of the state.
He arrived Enugu around 5pm on Thursday, and was received by friends and well wishers, although the security agents turned him back as they said the governor and his deputy were not on seat.
