Senate President Bukola Saraki has come out to give reasons for preventing the letter sent by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, from being read during plenary.
The letter, which was written in order to suggest principal officers for the 8th Assembly was snubbed by Saraki, who went ahead to name the principal officers on Thursday, June 25, 2015, which went against his party’s choices.
Speaking via a letter personally signed by Saraki, the Senate President enthused that his “hands were tied” as the wishes of his party negated the recommendations of certain which he sited.
