The mother of the Tunisian mass murderer, Seifeddine Rezgui, has spoken out about her son and the crimes he committed. She claims that her son, even though he murdered 38 holiday makers in Tunisia, ‘couldn’t kill a mouse.’
According to Daily Mail, the 49-year-old woman, Radhia Manai, revealed in an interview that since the massacre, she had neither eaten nor slept as she can’t seem to stop weeping. She also claimed that her son was as much a ‘victim’ as the others and that he was ‘brainwashed.’
She said: “When they told me my son had killed all these people I said no, it’s impossible. I couldn’t believe it, I can’t believe it. Once there was a mouse in the house and I asked Seifeddine to kill it and he refused saying, ‘I can’t kill anything.’
She stated that she feels sorry for the victims and hopes that those behind the plot are found while adding that she believes that her son was pressurized into carrying out the dastardly act. She added that “They must have given him drugs and brainwashed him.”
Rezgui had chased people from a beach in Sousse into the Imperial Marhaba Hotel where he proceeded to spray them with bullets and home made bombs. He was shot dead by the police.
