Police have appealed for information after a mother went missing from hospital, leaving her newborn child behind.
Anna Chudy, 35, is believed to have left Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, north-west London, with a man on Friday morning.
She had given birth to a baby son by caesarean section just before 4am on Thursday.
Police have released images of Ms Chudy and the man in a bid to trace the new mother and ensure she is safe.
The man, who is seen leaving the accident and emergency department separately to Ms Chudy, is described as white, tall with an athletic build and short, dark brown hair.
He was wearing a black leather jacket with patches on the elbows and dark trousers, police said.
In a statement the Met Police said: ‘Officers are concerned for her welfare and are keen to trace her to ensure she is safe and well.’
