The new Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 said that he would ensure that unemployment is battled to a halt in the country.
According to the Assistant Director in charge of Media at the Ministry of Labour, Samuel Olowookere, Ngige enthused thus when he addressed workers of the ministry upon assumption of office: “We will be at the fore-front of the battle to stop the scourge of unemployment in the country.
“We must, as a people, put on our thinking caps so that we can chart the way forward for employment generation.
“We are the catalyst, the change agent of the change era; if we block leakages in our system, the country will be better for it’s resources will be made available for economic growth.”
