Nigeria’s minister of youth development, Boni Haruna, led a special team of Federal Government aides to Adamawa State where he visited some of the victims of Boko Haram attack in the North East.
The one time governor of the state, Haruna visited victims in Mubi, Hong, Maiha, Ganye, and Michika Local Government Areas of Adamawa State who were recently reunited with their families after soldiers had taken back their towns from the hands of the insurgents.
The minister could not hold back tears when he met the victims and saw the state of ruin and abject poverty the people were facing as a result of the terrorist attacks.
He promised that the government would do everything possible to help them settle back into their communities.
Some of the victims expressed their fears of starting over but were somehow happy that the minister had taken it upon himself to visit the community with his special team.
