The minister of information, Labaran Maku has said that he will resign as minister on Friday, October 17, 2014 to pursue his gubernatorial aspiration in his native Nasarawa state.
Maku disclosed this information on Sunday, October 12, 2014 during a thanksgiving service in Akwanga at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Nasarawa state.
He is expected to be among several ministers who are expected to resign from office in the coming weeks to focus on their gubernatorial ambition.
Others reportedly include: minister of labour, Emeka Wogu (Abia); minister of state for education, Nyesom Wike (Rivers); minister of state for defence, Musiliu Obanikoro (Lagos), and Samuel Ortom minister of state for trade, industry and investment (Benue).
