Military Men Foil Deadly Attacks As Over 100 Gunmen Invade Jos

Hundreds of worshippers escaped what would have been another bloody attack when over 100 unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen stormed Rantya Lowcost community of Jos metropolis, the Plateau State capital and shot sporadically at worshippers in the churches in the area.

According to the report, Military men put up a defensive and repelled the attacks.

The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. today, March 23, 2014 when most of the churches were just about to commence service, a security man told journalists.

He added that the gunmen descended suddenly from the hills and pounced on the community shooting sporadically at hundreds of worshippers in the churches.

Luckily, the attacks was foiled by men of the Special Task Force (STF), who shot back at the attackers.
