Although ‘Scandal’ wasn’t on President Obama’s list of favorite shows, First Lady Michelle Obama says she only recently began watching the show and fell in love with it.
Mrs. Obama says she binged watched the show, which details the life of a Washington D.C. crisis manager.
“I hadn’t watched it until this past vacation — we went to Hawaii so I had a long flight — so I watched all the seasons,” FLOTUS told Ryan Seacrest. “I caught up on Scandal, I never watched it.”

Mrs. Obama also lavished praise on Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia Pope on the show.
“I love Kerry Washington, she is amazing,” Mrs. Obama said. “So it makes the show fun, it really does, it was fun to watch.”
Although ‘Scandal’ definitely makes the cut with Mrs. Obama, President Obama did not include ‘Scandal’ on his list of top shows of 2013.
President Obama’s favorite shows were Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abby, Modern Family, and Parks and Recreation.
If you’ve been listening to President Obama speak about his favorite shows since he was running for president, then you also know that he considers The Wire one of the best shows in history. He’s also a fan of sports, especially basketball.
What do you think of the shows they both enjoy? Would they make your top 10 list of the best shows? Or are the president and first lady leaving out a few shows that you think should be ranked right up top?
