Following a malicious false news that international/Ghanaian football star Michael Essien had contracted the deadly Ebola virus which prompted thousands of his fans to storm his social media pages begging for answers, the player took to Instagram on Sunday October 12, 2014 to share a pic of him and deny the false report.
“I’m very fit and very healthy,No truth in the internet rumours that I have contracted Ebola.im well & will be training as usual tomorrow.The Ebola virus is a very serious issue and people shouldn’t joke about it.Whoever wrote this article is very unprofessional and insensitive…!!!#Jahbless,” the footballer said with a photo of him.

Essien followed this up with two tweets which fans are now calling a “class act” response to the rumour.
