Men: 4 Things You Need to Know About Your Woman During Her Period

Must read

Guys, there is a wealth of information you need to know about your woman when she’s preparing for her period/menstrual cycle, or what’s commonly known as Aunt Flow. Every month your woman is experiencing unique changes in her body to prepare for ovulation.  With this experience comes a high possibility of PMS or premenstrual syndrome. The symptoms of PMS vary from woman to woman, so it’s critically important that you learn how your woman is affected by it.  Unfortunately, I’ve witnessed relationships fail due to a lack of understanding and sensitivity for women suffering from PMS. Please don’t allow Aunt Flow to ruin your relationship. Below are 4 things that you should know as your woman prepares for her period:

  1. She’s extrasensitive.

You know that really mean joke you crack on her that she usually laughs at? Crack that joke while she’s on her period and you’ll probably have your head chewed off. You must be very sensitive to her sensitivity. Stray away from cruel jokes or pranks. She’s probably already irritable from the physical and psychological change her body is enduring. Don’t make matters more complicated for her.

  1. She’s annoyed by your presence but don’t leave.

You can be as perfect as God but you’ll still manage to annoy her. My male clients think it’s best to spend more time with the guys during their woman’s menstrual cycle, as it could prevent arguments. They’ve oftentimes discovered their decision intensifies her anger. Although you’re annoying her, she still wants to feel love and affection from you. Substantial “away time” with your male friends will isolate her and make her feel unwanted. Unless she demands alone time, stick around.

  1. She may choose to bask in sadness, but she’s ok.

Sometimes a woman just wants to watch a sad movie and cry. She’s not really sad, she’s just having her moment. A common mistake my male clients make when their woman induces her own sadness is to scold her or repeatedly ask her why she’s crying. The best solution to this situation is to ask her if there’s anything you can do for her and to allow her to have her moment.

  1. She may out-eat you and grow a belly, but she isn’t really gaining weight.

Another common mistake my male clients make is to encourage their woman to work out while she is experiencing PMS. I understand it can be frightening to watch your woman consume a gallon of ice-cream and cookies, wine, cheeseburgers and french fries within an hour, but she’s not really gaining weight. Don’t feel compelled to encourage her to exercise because her bloating belly and aggressive appetite will fade after her period.

Again, it is critically important that you learn how your woman is affected by PMS. Read more information about it by clicking here.
