There is no doubt that Manchester United winger, Memphis Depay has been struggling to hit form since joining Manchester United from Dutch side, PSV in the summer.
The Dutch international has reportedly put on 5kg since moving to England and he is now looking at improving his diet to solve his weight-gain problem.
To stem the tide, the Times reports that the 21-year-old has hired a new personal chef who will help him with better diets.
“When I stood on the scales first I thought, ‘OK, is this correct?’ My body is still developing. Now I’m a little heavier. I work a lot on my co-ordination and starting speed.
“Since I joined Manchester United I’ve gained five kilos.
“And that’s not fat. Only muscle mass. It’s pretty bizarre. It’s also due to the heavy rhythm in England. I now weigh 85 kilos,” Depay explained.
Depay has been an unused substitute in three of United’s last four Premier League games. He was reported warned about his lifestyle by Manchester United assistant manager, Ryan Giggs after they lost 0-3 to Arsenal.
