Both Meghan Markle and Kate made it onto the list showing those surveyed have respect and admiration for both Duchesses.
The Duchess of Sussex took the lead, however, gathering 21 percent of the votes.
Kate Middleton followed on the list with 11 percent of participants deeming her the one they respect and admire the most.
The study surveyed 1032 people between the ages of 13 and 25.
The most common reason for admiring public figures was “they are brave and resilient, and even when things go wrong they carry on”.
Another popular reason for respecting the figures listed was as “they stand up for people’s rights and make society a better place”.
Meghan and Kate weren’t the only royals who made their way onto the top list, however.
Queen Elizabeth II took the top spot as the most admired of all public figures.
The monarch garnered the votes of 26 percent of those surveyed.
Prince Harry and Prince William also made the list with 21 percent and 11 percent respectively.
Those who took part in the study also named other celebrities who they look up to.
Marcus Rashford, Lewis Hamilton and Raheem Sterling were the most admired sports people.
David Attenborough, Captain Tom Moore and Greta Thunberg were deemed the most inspiring people.
