A 35-year old primary school teacher, Belinda Stuckey might be on her way to breaking some record after she was reported to have gone on 136 first dates without going for a second each time.
Stuckey’s dating spree began in December 2013 when she joined dating site eHarmony, after 3 years of being single.
According to Metro UK, Stuckey is the most requested member with 10 matches per day, has had over 4,700 matches and has been on a total of 136 first dates.
Stuckey who is from Kellyville, in Sydney, says she believes she has generated such interest because she was 100% honest when setting up her profile.
“I don’t see any point putting out there someone you are not – it’s important to let people know who you are and what your ultimate goal is at the end,” she told Daily Mail Australia.
On why she has failed to go on second dates, Stuckey says: “Either they like me and I don’t like them or vice versa.”
The teacher says after each date she asks herself: “What I did to turn him off – Did I do something wrong? Did I not show enough skin? What can I do better next time?
“You have got to have thick skin and take it with a grain of salt.
“If I had a nice time I will text “I’m home – thanks for tonight” – I don’t do the waiting for three days to hear from them.
“I will be straight up if I feel something there – I don’t know why people play silly games.”
After 136 first dates, Stuckey says she is willing to try again for the 137th time.
“I still have hope he’ll be out there,” she said
