A new born baby boy has been hospitalised following the carelessness of medical students who severed his manhood which they mistook for his umbilical cord.
The victim’s father, Diego Rangel Izaguirre, said that doctors at the pediatric hospital, prevented him from seeing his son for some hours, in a bid to cover the accident.
A worker at the hospital in Saltillo, Mexico deceived Izaguirre and told him that his baby had a minor accident.
However, the man was said to have realised the fatal mistake later on and thankfully, the severed parts were reattached successfully, even though the baby got three additional cuts during surgery, World Wide Weird News reports.
After filing an official complaint against the hospital, the boy’s mother, Zulem Contreras, maintained that they shouldn’t have left the boy with the medical students.
In the meantime, an investigation has been launched into the incident.
