Must read

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has warned its personnel against exhorting monies from motorists or be ready to be thrown into the unemployed market.

Selina William, the sector commander of the Taraba State Command of the corps, who handed down the warning on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, during an interactive session with the media in Jalingo, urged motorists to desist from the act of giving out bribes to the personnel.

The command, she said has deployed sectorial intelligence to fish out corrupt marshals, warning that any staff found wanting will be dismissed from the service.

While explaining that markets along the highways posed serious dangers to both commuters and the people, she maintained that the ban on highway trading was for the safety of drivers and citizens.

She warned officers that taking bribes was akin to receiving blood money and pleaded with motorists not to hesitate in reporting any officer who exhorts them.

“Any marshall who indulges in bribery is taking blood money”

“I am using this opportunity to advise motorists to desist from giving bribe to Marshalls”, she said.
