Tragedy struck in Sabongari town in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State as Boko haram insurgents attacked the town, killing a yet to be specified number of people and abducting six women in the process.
Vanguard reports a resident of the area, Musa that the insurgents attacked the town around 10 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2015, forcing residents to scamper into the mountainous bush.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Madagali Local Government area, Maina Ularamu besought the government to beef up security in the area.
