Spanish defender, Sergio Ramos has killed off any hopes Manchester United had of signing him. The 29-year-old has signed a new five-year deal with Real Madrid.
The Red Devils had a £28.6m bid for the defender rejected by the Spanish giants in June 2015.
Manchester United were looking to make Real Madrid sell Sergio Ramos to them by enticing them with David De Gea; the 24-year-old goalkeeper has been subject of intense interest from Madrid for a while now.
Sergio Ramos has been a part of the Real Madrid setup for a decade now and is the club’s current captain after Iker Casillas’ departure this summer.
