A 57-year-old man decided to inject silicone into his manhood in order that the organ would get bigger and make his sex life better.
The man had the silicone injected into his manhood one and half years ago after he learnt that it could increase his penis, but it didn’t end as planned as the silicone started to clot a few months ago.
Although it is not yet clear if he injected it himself or was aided by someone, but the man from southern Vietnam, was admitted at the hospital on Monday, October 12, 2015 with a swollen penis that was distorted by silicone clots.
Doctor Nguyen Phuoc Loc of Can Tho General Hospital disclosed the possibility of the patient being discharged soon, but he warned that silicone injections into human body are not only dangerous, but also illegal in Vietnam.
He said: “Injecting silicone directly into the body is very dangerous because it can lead to infection and necrosis. It can also block circulation, leading to death.”
In 2013, Ho Chi Minh City doctors have reported dozens of emergency cases in which male patients tried to enlarge their penises with silicone injections.
Doctors said some men have penis size anxiety and believe male enhancement can bring them happy relationships. They said the average Vietnamese penis is similar in size to those of men in other countries.
