A 90-year-old man has died after he was reportedly blown into the side of a bus by a gust of wind.
According to Metro UK, it is believed that the deceased was blown into the side of a bus close to Finchley Central station in north London following Storm Desmond.
The unnamed man was said to have died 45 minutes later after paramedics battled to save him.
A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating the death of man who they believe was blown by a gust of wind against the side of a moving bus
“We were called by London Ambulance Service at 12.35pm today to reports of a traffic incident at Chaville Way.
“At the scene, a male pedestrian had been in collision with the side of a moving bus.
“Medics at the scene performed CPR but the man died at the scene.’
A statement continued: “Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. There has been no arrest.”
