Man Commits Suicide Inside Farm In Ondo [GRAPHIC PHOTO]

The lifeless remains of a middle-aged man identified as Damilola Ibitokun, was spotted hanging down a tree at Ori-Oke farm in Ero town, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that Ibitokun was seen by some neighbours and passersby as he rushed to the farm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 amid shouts that he was going to commit suicide.

The deceased popularly known as Seven Feet because of he is quite tall had a rope in one hand and a knife in the other according to Daily Post.

Ibitokun was said to have threatened everybody who tried to stop her from committing suicide with the knife.

The bereaved wife of the deceased, Muibat Ibitokun, stated that an undisclosed family problem had led them to take succor in a church where they had been sleeping in the last few months.

She said: “We’ve been sleeping in the church for some time now. But on Tuesday in the evening, he just decided that he was going home to sleep.

“But in the middle of the night, he rushed back to the church, shouting and banging the door. He asked for the whereabouts of the man who was fighting me. But I told him nobody was fighting me.

“He went back home. But some minutes later, some of our neighbours called me that my husband was shouting and running around that he was going to commit suicide and that nobody should dare stop him.”

Also speaking was the son of the deceased, Ayomide Ibitokun, who found his father’s death as shocking, adding that he was restless through the night of Tuesday, July 28, 2015.

In the meantime, Ibitokun had been buried after some rituals were performed by the community.
