A highly provoked man named Olorode Abimbola Gbenga, had on Saturday, January 3, 2015 allegedly beaten his wife, Comfort Oluwaseun Adebowale, blue-black for exchanging pleasantries with her pastor in front of his church in Ogun state.
Thereafter, Gbenga who felt the beating was not just enough picked up a stone and threw it on Adebowale’s head.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care after the incident although she had been discharged.
Narrating the unfortunate encounter with her husband of 15 years, Adebowale discosed that the relationship was all rosy initially until her husband started going after different women after he got a good paying job.
Abuse became inevitable at this point according to Adebowale as the husband usually treated her like a puppet.
She further disclosed that her husband went to the extent of dating her best friend, who is a pastor’s wife.
On the fateful day, according to reports, Adebowale walked outside the church and saw the pastor and stopped by to say hello when her husband suddenly appeared from the blue and slapped her face.
Although no one has been arrested yet in connection with the incident, the victim had reportedly filed a complaint with the police.
