A 35-year-old man was arrested on a charge of assault after he battered his girlfriend because she took the entire blanket all to herself during the night.
Richard William Heath of Macclesfield, of United Kingdom was arrested and sentenced to 12 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend with whom he has a child.
UK police officials disclosed that the assault happened on a fateul night following a disagreement between the couple over the use of their blanket.
The assaulted woman reportedly pulled the blanket to herself while her boyfriend tried to pull it back and got infuriated during the process which led him to pin her down, gave her the beating of her life and bruised her arms before he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her out of bed.
According to WWWN, Heath dragged her to the kitchen, where he kicked her in the stomach. The woman called her brother who filed a complaint with the police.
Heath was ordered to stay away from his girlfriend following a restraining order suit filed by the aggrieved girlfriend.
He expressed shock over the suit and promised to return to her home on the expiration of the order.
