Police say they have arrested a man in South California for stealing the same Ferrari twice.
According to a report on Huffington Post, Earnie Hooks was arrested behind the wheels of the $250,000 vehicle, although he pleaded not guilty to car theft and resisting police.
Police in Los Angeles say the apprehended Hooks at a drunk driving checkpoint on Friday, August 29, 2014 and discovered that the black Ferrari he was driving had been earlier reported as stolen, after which Hooks drove away from the checkpoint and abandoned the car, which was later impounded, some way off.
Officials were taken aback when they discovered the car had been stole around 3 am from the impound lot.
The suspect was arrested 5 days later while driving the same car in his Studio City neighbourhood.
Police say he is facing charges of theft, unlawful taking or driving of a vehicle, receiving stolen property, burglary and warrants.
