A man whose wife cheated on him with one of his best pals has put her wedding dress up for sale along with a scathing online advert.
The 32-year-old man, from Sydney, describes the dress as having “a proven track record of producing an adulterous, deceitful, double-crossing and traitorous ‘soulmate'”.
Since being posted on gumtree.au yesterday, the ad has already racked up more than 50,000 visits and fetched bids of $300.
The hilarious description says the dress is: “A one of a kind garment designed by Benedict Arnold, believed to be derived from the very cloth Judas Iscariot himself wore to the Garden of Gethsemane to betray the only son of God – Jesus Christ.”
The rant goes on to say: “This harlot-sized ensemble will make you the envy of your trampish posse on your fraudulent wedding day.
“The dress is guaranteed to provide you with approximately two years of reasonable wedded mediocrity before the complete and utter disintegration of your relationship due to your extramarital promiscuity.”
The dress was listed for sale on behalf of the heartbroken hubby by friend Dan Campbell, who had been storing the dress in his garage after the breakdown of the marriage.
Dan said the groom wanted to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals from his estranged bride, but that they had worked together on the wording of the advert.
He said: “He was absolutely wrecked when it broke up. They had a divorce settlement and he’s happy now.
“He was laughing actually when I told him about all the attention the ad’s been getting.”
