A 46-year-old man who clamoured for fun has been restricted from gaining entrance into a bar simply because they considered him to be too old.The man, Chris Pettifor , had gone to the Bar Eleven, in Nottingham, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.According to Daily Star, the casino worker was seen by the doormen as he approached, who “shook their head” at him, before explaining he was too old.
The worker said, “At first I wasn’t fussed but when I got home, I thought, ‘how dare they?’ It’s embarrassing and I was flabbergasted.
“I didn’t bother arguing because if you’ve been refused, there’s no point. I just left and told my other friend, who is 32, to go ahead without me.
“I know the place is very young and you don’t tend to see anyone over the age of 21 in there but that shouldn’t make a difference.”
The general manager of the Bar, Michael Freeborn expressed disbelief that the man could possibly be bounce.
Freeborn said:,”As I have no experience of Chris Pettifor, having never met him, I simply cannot offer a reason as to why he was rejected but I can state with utter confidence it would not have been due to his age.”
