Speaking via his Facebook page, Fani-Kayode said: “Things are getting messier by the day. My advice to Tunde Fashola is to go and make peace with his benefactor, Bola Tinubu, before it is too late.”
It would be recalled that Fashola has been involved in a several scandalous incidents over the past few days over his expenditure of government funds while in office with many accusing Tinubu as being responsible for his travails.
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, who are loyal to Tinubu were also absent at a book launch held in honour of Fashola last week, fuelling speculations that all was not well between Tinubu and Fashola.
