Piers Morgan, a former CNN anchor has been appointed as the Editor-at-Large (US) of the world’s biggest English newspaper website, Mail Online, the tabloid has announced.
Morgan confirmed his appointment via his Twitter account which boasts of over 4 million followers:

After his appointment, Morgan also had this to say: “I am very excited to take on the role of Editor-at-Large (US) at MailOnline, which has become the most successful and dynamic platform in the world of news. The site is an addictive pleasure, that offers an extraordinarily wide and diverse range of stories from all around the world.
“It’s become my first stop for news each morning and multiple times throughout the day – as it has for many others, which is why 180 million people now visit MailOnline every month, 60 million of them from here in America alone. Morgan has held and currently holds a host of media jobs which includes:
Wimbledon News, which he left to join The Sun UK as a guest columnist (1989-1994), Editor at News of the World (1994-1996, a post that saw him become its youngest ever editor and the youngest editor of a national daily in the UK for over 50 years.
He also served as the Editor-in-chief for Daily Mirror UK (1995-2004), a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, NBC’s America’s Got Talent (2006-2011) and hosting Piers Morgan Live on CNN from 2011 to 2014.
He has also been writing a column on Mail on Sunday, a job he had previously done from 2004-2009.
Morgan also hosts Piers Morgan Life Stories, which has been rated as the number one talk show in the UK for five years.
