Nollywood actor, producer and movie director, Desmond Elliot who recently received a certificate of return from the independent National Electoral Commission as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency 1 has declared is political ambition to become an elected governor of Lagos state in no distant time, probably come 2019.
Desmond Elliot who was the only one that secured a victory of all the Nollywood actors and actresses that dabbled into the 2015 general elections in various states across Nigeria, also disclosed his intention of selfless service.
Elliot stated; ‘I am looking forward to becoming the elected Governor of Lagos State in not too distant future.
‘I want to serve the people of Lagos and I know I can do it. People say that politics is a dirty game, I don’t know exactly how dirty it can get but my intention basically is to serve humanity’. He said
‘My choice as a representative of the good people of Surulere constituency 1 is an added advantage for me to utilize my humanitarian service to my people. To me it is a bold step and a stepping stone; and I promise never to disappoint my constituents’. The lawmaker concluded.
