19-year-old Liverpool winger, Jordan Ashley Femi Ibe may become a Super Eagles player in the near future.
The youngster who has featured for the England U-19 and U-20 side is still eligible to play for Nigeria through his father, David.
The Nigerian Football Federation has been monitoring his situation since February 2015 and on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, the new Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh made a personal appeal to Ibe in a bid to make him switch allegiance after visiting the teenager at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground.
There are conflicting reports that Ibe plans to commit his future to England but reports have it that he is consulting with his family.
Here are tweets from TV football analyst and sports writer, Calvin Emeka Onwuka who was with Sunday Oliseh and his assistant, Jean François Losciuto at the Melwood training ground where they met Jordan Ibe:
